Dissociative Identity Disorder

A split personality disorder refers to Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), which is a mental illness in which a patient has multiple different personalities within his/her mind. Patients with Dissociative Identity Disorder have multiple personalities that are entirely under the control of the patients. These personalities are able to carry out activities, such as sleeping and eating, that don't belong to them.
